Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
Draft. This policy is still being reviewed and is not final.
CreatingMe is built so your journal stays yours. There's no account to create, no ads and no third-party tracking. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the CreatingMe iPhone app and this website.
The short version
- No account and no login. You never give us your name or email to use the app.
- What you write and the photos you add stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We can't see them.
- No ads, no ad trackers and no data brokers. We don't sell or share your information.
- Apple handles payments. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, sees purchase details but never your entries.
What stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud
Everything you create in CreatingMe stays with you. That includes gratitude entries, the affirmations you keep or write, intentions and their check-ins, WOOP and if-then plans, loop questionnaire answers, your future-self description, goal images, journal photos and your settings.
- It's stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on for CreatingMe, it syncs through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. Only you can reach that data; we can't. Apple's privacy policy covers how iCloud stores it.
- The image reveal and any photo processing run on your iPhone using Apple's built-in tools. Your images are never uploaded to us.
- If you turn on the Face ID lock, iOS handles it. The app never receives your face data.
- Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone, not sent from a server.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple handles every purchase through your Apple ID. We never see your name, your Apple ID or your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether you have Premium, run free trials and count subscriptions. When you open the app or buy a subscription, RevenueCat receives:
- purchase details from Apple, such as which plan you chose, when you bought it, and whether it's in a trial or has renewed
- a random ID that RevenueCat creates for your copy of the app, which isn't linked to your name or Apple ID
- technical details that come with any internet request, such as IP address, device model, iOS version, app version and App Store country
RevenueCat never receives your entries, photos or anything you write. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. TODO: confirm: check this list against RevenueCat's App Privacy guide before launch.
Statistics and crash reports from Apple
If you've agreed in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives us combined statistics, such as installs and how often the app is opened, and crash reports. None of this identifies you or includes what you write in the app. You can turn sharing off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads, and we never ask permission to track you across other apps.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal information.
- We don't send your entries to any AI service.
This website
creatingme.app uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare serves the site, and it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
When you email us
If you write to support@, privacy@ or security@creatingme.app, we receive your email address and your message. These addresses forward to a Gmail inbox, so Google also processes those emails. We use them only to reply and help you, and we keep them only as long as we need to.
Your choices and rights
- Export: you can export your entries from Settings in the app.
- Delete: deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone. To delete the synced copy, remove CreatingMe's data from your iCloud storage settings. TODO: confirm: add the exact steps, and whether the app has its own "delete all data" option.
- Stop syncing: turn off iCloud for CreatingMe to keep everything on your iPhone only.
We don't hold your entries, so we can't view, change or delete them for you. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information we do hold, such as support emails, including the right to access, correct or delete it. Email privacy@creatingme.app and we'll help.
Children
CreatingMe isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. TODO: confirm: minimum age and App Store age rating.
Changes to this policy
If we change how information is handled, for example before adding new features, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app.
